Design

I bought the PG6250 WetTech because it was affordable. It comes with a large blue-and-black trimmer, with the power button placed inside a black ring on the front.

The kit includes five different attachments, so you can trim your hair to the length you want. There’s also a body shaver head. I use it on my chest, and it leaves the skin feeling smooth.

I have sensitive skin, so I know how annoying some groomers can be. If you have the same issue, this one may be worth trying. It is cordless and rechargeable, and water is not a big concern.

You can use it in the shower or at the sink, which is very handy. Remington calls this feature “WetTech,” since the groomer is waterproof.

That said, I would not submerge an electrical device in water. The back of the trimmer is black and wraps around the sides and rear. I do wish it came with a charging dock. Still, there is a large opening at the bottom, so you can hang it up for storage or while charging.

The Remington PG6250 has stainless steel blades that work well on longer beards. The blades are also nickel-free, which may be helpful for people with nickel allergies or sensitive skin.

They are not overly sharp, so they feel less harsh on the skin. At the same time, they still give a fairly precise trim.

One downside is that I now need to replace the head because the blade has started to get dull. The trimmer itself is quite large, so I don’t really need another tool for shaving. Trimming the back can be tricky, though. You may need someone to help with areas that are hard to see.

For different beard styles, you can attach the plastic combs to the metal trimming head. Changing them is quick and simple. The kit charges with the included black power cord and plug, which charges the built-in lithium-ion battery.
